| Customer Reviews: Almost perfect April 15, 2010 I. Adams 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased this crossbow to be used in mock battles. I didn't want a full-out crossbow that would actually hurt someone, so I got this one after I read that it shot pretty far.
Ok, so I did what I had been told was the best way to use it: I chucked the plastic (dangerous) darts that came with it and ordered nerf darts. Only problem was that the nerf darts are slightly smaller than the plastic ones. So I had to modify it a bit with some tape. This is only a problem is you're going to shoot your friends, like I am going to.
The problem that kept this from a 5 is the drawstring. The way the crossbow is designed, the string will unravel a bit after only a few uses. I would recommend wrapping the string with duct tape where it connects with the bow.
Other than those two things, I love this thing. I will be ordering two more just like it very soon.
Coolest toys ever! February 11, 2010 B. Barney These are great for having wars with family. Make sure to wear glasses and let the games begin.
This is okay, actually January 4, 2010 Amy M. Miller (Knoxville, TN) Yes, it is a cheap bow, but it's held up pretty good so far,it shoots pretty hard, and the darts seem to be durable.
